Introduction - People Analytics Consultant (Report Stories)

 

3n Strategy is a people analytics, reporting and strategic workforce planning consultancy. We work in partnerships with organisations across the world to unlock the power of their SuccessFactors data, using it answer questions for leaders, so that they can Make Better People Decisions.  

We offer a full spectrum of services related to people analytics and data-driven HR, from advisory and strategic services, to technology configuration and dashboard design, to people analytics function design and culture change management, to strategic workforce planning and advanced analytics. Our research through the HR Analytics ThinkTank ensures that our knowledge of data-driven HR and analytics in HR is second to none.  

We are recognised specialists in SAP ecosystem for our deep expertise in SuccessFactors data, and our services related to the Report Stories (‘Stories-in-People Analytics’), Workforce Analytics and Reporting modules.   

In 2024 we need to further grow our consulting team and we are searching for an experienced people analytics consultant to join our team.  

 

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a people analytics consultant specialising in Report Stories, your primary role will be to support our customers to be successful with the SuccessFactors Report Stories module. You customer base will span Europe and North America.  

We will support you with high levels of training and customer opportunities to develop your skills and experiences, but your passion must be enabling customer success and satisfaction when it comes to people analytics and reporting.  

It will require you to have a range of skills, experiences and motivations including: 

  • You need proven functional knowledge of how to maximise the Report Stories or SAP Analytics Cloud interfaces. You should enjoy working with a wide range of customers to translate their ideas for analytics into real dashboard outputs.  
  • You must have a strong design and visualisation skills and have a proven track record of designing dashboards that are not just functional but create true value by answering questions and telling stories. 
  • You must be open to learning more people analytics skills in a small team environment– from strategy skill sets to culture change and more.  
  • You must be excited by the prospect of working with enthusiastic and often strong-minded customers, helping to steer their people analytics journey and manage their expectations. 
  • You will benefit from having a working knowledge of the other SAP analytics tools, from Workforce Analytics to Canvas reporting to Datasphere and wider. 

Whilst you will work under the guidance of a senior consultant, in a team of people analytics experts, you will be expected to be comfortable dealing with a wide range of customers with differing priorities and issues. Whilst your role will be predominantly focused on functional Report Stories projects, all 3n Strategy consultants are expected to have exposure to a wider range of technologies and skills – in particular strategy skills.  

For the right candidate this role offers significant development opportunities to learn a wide range of skills and engage at a very senior level – 3n Strategy is a small business and every team member regularly interacts with senior leaders in our customers.  

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Working with practice leaders to translate clients’ data-driven HR visions into functional realities using SuccessFactors data and analytics technologies. 
  • Supporting and lead functional implementations of Workforce Analytics and Report Stories, including writing specifications/workbooks and front-end configuration. 
  • Supporting customers to design, build and maintain dashboards and visual experience which enable users to answer HR questions and make better people decisions. 
  • Training and enabling customer organisations to learn how to fully use SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics and Stories in People Analytics, including acting as a trusted advisor to customer leads. 
  • Writing and maintaining the 3n Strategy Stories and WFA Online guides. 
  • Investing dedicated time in understanding both the SuccessFactors People Analytics products and roadmap, and in the use and application of people analytics through the HR Analytics ThinkTank. As our SuccessFactors and SAP products grow, invest and spend time learning new product features and help our customers to adopt them. 
  • Supporting strategic people analytics engagements, helping to translate strategic people analytics plans into functionality experiences. 
  • Working alongside the sales team, you will be responsible for supporting and driving business development from both existing and new client accounts.  
  • As part of the 3n Strategy Employee Thought Leadership Scheme, you will be expected to  spend a percentage of your time generating industry insights on either our customers, our customer communities or through the HR Analytics ThinkTank.  
 

CAREER REQUIREMENTS

  • You must have a SuccessFactors Reporting or Workforce Analytics Functional Consultant certification and have supported or lead the implementation of at least two live customers in the last two years. 
  • You must have at least five years career tenure related to HR data, systems and technology. Strong preference will be given to candidates with SuccessFactors reporting experience. This does not need to be Stories, but ORD, Advanced Reporting or other legacy SuccessFactors reporting tools. 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with general reporting experience, and especially those with experience of SuccessFactors tables and data. 
  • Preference may be given to candidates with other SuccessFactors certifications. 
  • Not required but preference may be given to candidates who have worked in-house within a people analytics, HR reporting team or HR Business Partner capacity. 
  • Not required but preference may be given to candidates with aspirations of becoming HR strategy consultants, people data scientists or other people analytics roles. 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITERIA

  • Not required but there will be a preference for candidates based in the United Kingdom. 
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK, Europe and the United States. 
  • Fluency in English is a requirement, and preference will be given to candidates that can also speak French, Spanish or German. 
  • University degrees are not absolutely required but preference will be given to candidates with Bachelors, Masters or higher in fields related to Statistics, Data Science, HR and Management. 

OTHER NOTES

  • This role will be entirely remote however it may be required to travel to customer sites across the world, and occasionally to destinations for internal purposes. 
  • Whilst the team and leadership are always available you will need to be comfortable working autonomously. We offer complete flexibility on hours and working times, as long as customer and business needs are met.
